Are you in the process of choosing the perfect venue for your Connecticut wedding? Congratulations! Our state is full of stunning venues for events of all sizes, so you’ll have plenty of options. To get you started, I’d like to share a list of the best wedding venues in Connecticut–straight from an experienced Connecticut wedding planner!

The historic Burr Mansion is set on a property of over 4 acres in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Burr Mansion was originally built in 1732 as the home of Thaddeus Burr and his wife, Eunice. Over the years, the home hosted notable guests including Thaddeus’ cousin, Aaron Burr; John Hancock and his wife, Dorothy; Samuel Adams; and even George Washington. The original mansion was lost in the Burning of Fairfield in 1779, and was rebuilt in 1790.

Today Burr Mansion is managed by Fairfield Parks & Recreation and serves as a breathtaking venue for weddings and events in Fairfield’s historic district. The mansion itself can be used as a venue for smaller celebrations, or as a space for the wedding party to prepare for the ceremony. It even has a furnished bridal suite!

Burr Mansion is also the perfect venue for large weddings. It has a dedicated caterer’s kitchen and the restrooms have been renovated for modern comfort. The property’s expansive gardens and reflecting pool create a beautiful setting for your wedding ceremony and reception. They even offer a 60-ft by 60-ft tent with hardwood flooring for outdoor receptions!

Tyde at Walnut Beach is the perfect venue for couples seeking a venue with all the amenities. A beachfront event venue on the Connecticut coast, Tyde at Walnut Beach offers couples the opportunity to take advantage of the beauty and serenity of Connecticut’s beaches without sacrificing the luxury of a modern venue. You may choose to have your ceremony on the beach or in the outdoor courtyard. Even if you plan to stay inside the venue, the panoramic ballroom and rooftop terrace offer incredible views of the waterfront.

By far the greatest draw of this venue is the carefully tailored selection of wedding experiences. The venue offers rentals, an open bar, and a full catering service. You can even preview the menu on their website. It’s an experience designed to feel luxurious.

If you’re looking for a wedding venue with a modern country club vibe, check out Larimar! Located in Bristol, Connecticut, this beautiful venue is spacious and inviting. It features large, open grounds surrounded by trees, offering a sense of privacy for outdoor celebrations. The outdoor gazebo is the perfect backdrop for a ceremony. The building has a wraparound porch where you and your guests can watch the sunset. The patio even has a firepit. The indoor space includes a bridal suite and a large dining room with plenty of space for dancing. The club’s full-service restaurant offers catering (including the wedding cake), and the venue has rental furniture available upon request.

Couples seeking a waterfront view should put Saybrook Point Resort & Marina on their list of potential venues. A mainstay in the community, Saybrook Point Resort has been hosting weddings for over 40 years. It’s a truly unique venue–the location allows for views of both the Long Island Sound and the Connecticut River. They offer multiple event spaces, including the Compass Rose Terrace, perfect for intimate ceremonies, as well as the Main Terrace, Pergola, and a beautiful indoor space (it even has a fireplace).

The venue offers farm-to-table catering options and guesthouses to accommodate out-of-town guests or the wedding party. And as an extra-special touch, you can book the Lighthouse Suite for your wedding night–a gorgeous suite in a real lighthouse!

The Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill is a beautiful venue on a sprawling estate of over 100 acres. The estate is committed to conservation and restoration of the property’s parklands: beautiful forested land that lends privacy to the venue. The mansion itself is pure elegance.

Originally built in the early 1900’s, Wadsworth Mansion offers a historic setting and remarkable architecture. High ceilings, arches, long hallways, and floor-to-ceiling windows are just a few of the details that make this such a perfect wedding venue. It even has ballrooms in the Beaux-Arts architectural style. If you want a fairytale wedding, this is the venue for you.

This one’s for the wine lovers! At Kingdom of the Hawk Vineyard, you’ll find a modern, barn-style venue in the heart of a beautiful Connecticut vineyard. The venue overlooks Stonington, Connecticut’s forests and tidal marshes, creating a serene setting for your big day. The vineyard was created by Michael and Merrily Connery as their passion project in retirement. They renovated an old airport hangar into a stunning venue.

The barn-style venue features an open floor plan, perfect for transitioning between dining and dancing. The back wall of the venue features a beautiful loft with a fireplace–the perfect spot for your couple’s table or wedding party.

One of seven homes belonging to Edward Harkness and his wife, Mary Stillman Harkness, Eolia is now a venue with over a century of history. The Harknesses were noted philanthropists and left their estate–including 230 acres that now make up Harkness Memorial State Park–to the state of Connecticut.

Eolia Mansion is only available to rent for weddings between March 1st and December 23rd each year, but it’s worth planning your wedding around this breathtaking venue. When the Harknesses first purchased the home, they renovated the interior to account for Mary Harkness’ wish for it to “evoke the feeling of the inside of an oyster shell.” Light greens and cream colors are accented with pinks, and warm lighting fills each room. The 42-room mansion now includes a bridal dressing room, and the home has several spaces perfect for intimate ceremonies.

There is so much to love about the indoor space, but your guests will also love exploring the grounds. The gardens are filled with natural beauty, as well as delightful sculptures and fountains.
